Don and his brother Al participated in the Mercury National Walleye Tournament in Fond du lac this weekend. This was Don's first tournament of the season...he had taken some time off this year because of our precious arrival. Unfortunately they didn't place, but came in with their limit of 5 fish for each day. Considering this was Don's first tournament of the year the 20 lbs. that they had for the weekend was awesome. Last year they came in 13th out of 325 boats. Hopefully they do better next weekend at Otter Street!

Lucy's 6 weeks...
Miss Lucy Pearl is now 6 almost 7 weeks old. At her six week check-up she was 10 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 1/4 inches long. I can't believe how much she has grown. We were informed by her Dr. that because she "doesn't have much of a neck"...we need to load her neck and cheeks with Vaseline....Gee thanks Dr. Zapolsky! HA HA!

Girls Day!!!!
Me and the girls had our first "girls only" date last week! Madigan chose a picnic at Menominee Park. With a little help from Don, Madigan packed us a picnic of peanut butter and jelly, applesauce, carrots and some mini muffins. Lucy of course had some scrumptious milk. After begging Madigan to not feed the always lurking seagulls, we then walked through the zoo, played in the park and took a nice long walk. It was a wonderful evening and we all came home happy and exhausted. I'm looking forward to many more outings with them.
Field Day!
June 2nd was field day at Madigan's school. The whole school got to participate in some pretty fun challenges. They started with gunny sack races then moved onto hula hut building...there was balloon popping, filling a bucket with a water soaked sponge...Charlie and the Chocolate factory where you had to find a golden ticket hidden under objects. It was so fun to watch...all the kids had such a great time! And the best part...there were no winners or losers, just a whole lot of smiling kids. Lucy did great at sleeping during the activities so Don and I could give our full attention to Madigan....which was much needed and appreciated by her big sister!!
Welcome...
Welcome to our blog....I am new to this whole thing, but thought this would be a great way to keep family and friends updated on our crazy hectic lives.
Six weeks has almost passed and we could not be happier with the newest additon to our family. Lucy is growing and changing everyday and we can't wait to see what's next. Everyday is that much more wonderful now that she has joined our family. Madigan is the BEST big sister any sibling could ask for. She is a big helper and takes total control when needed....we couldn't make it through some days without her help.
School is almost out for Madigan and I am really looking forward to spending my last two weeks of maternity leave with my two girls. We will be spending as many days at the pool as we possibly can....
Well, I will try to keep this as updated as possible for all of my non facebooking friends....like I said, this is all new to us, so please be patient..... :)
